I’m an independent consultant, specialising in engineering effectiveness, incident management, platform engineering, optimising for flow and technical strategy.

I’m the author of Enabling Microservice Success, a book about how to make microservices work (it’s at least as much about the organisational structure and culture as it is about the technology choices).

I’m a regular conference speaker and organiser. I chaired QCon London 2025 and hosted the Ways of Working track at LDX3, the new conference from the Lead Dev team.
